Found a link on Linked-In that eventually got me here. I'm not a software developer, but I will say that your words of wisdom apply to any field. Like you, I was a working professional (or, at least working at the corporate level) before I went back to finish school. Now that I am finished with my degree, I see how much better I could have been at the job if I had the degree & knowledge at the beginning.

Great article and advice! I hope anyone that reads this will decide to complete their formal education.

Fantastic tip! Amazing that I can create a website with forms in under 5 minutes. Bearing in mind I don't have a technical background.

No, no automation. My spam killer generaly catches most comments so I've really only had to do this twice. Hence I do it manually.

That’s a great idea. Have you scripted/automated this or do you do it manually?

Oh, and great site too by the way!

@Phil - _setVar() has actually been deprecated by google and replaced with _setCustomVar(). Guess I'll have to update this at some stage but for now if it's not broke, don't fix it.

Phil,
Great post - started an IT support business in London (http://www.dt3.com) and we now provide manged IT services to small business. Because computers is something everyone uses a lot of start ups HATE paying - just in case. But you are absolutely right, proper IT support is like good insurance - worth every penny. Hope the twitter app comes out soon!
